The Semantic Search Engine

By this time, one thing is clear to us: A good English parser without a brain has no brains.
Following the suggestion of Luke, our team leader for parse activity, we decided to explore aspects of the “Semantic Web”. In particular, what would a web search that was directed by plain English interaction look like? We have all Googled something and gotten three dump-truck loads of information from the search. Google has done an amazing job with statistical analysis of word content in matters such as question sentences and the like. The searches are most often than not presented in a meaningful sequence of decreasing relevance. Could a parser improve on that? Read more…
